Inscription
There is only one new profession in the expansion so far: Inscription. Herbs will be crushed or "milled" as a reagent for this profession, so we can expect to see players pairing Herbalism with Inscription. Inscription is all about the creation of scrolls and customizable aspects of abilities (such as cool downs, or effects such as stun, etc).
Glyphs
A new Spell book page will host major and minor Glyphs that will be used to augment their characters. Glyphs are tradeable and can be bough and sold at the Auction House.
6 glyphs may be added to a character. 3 Major and 3 Minor. Major Glyphs are big upgrades to spells or abilities, while Minor Glyphs are smaller upgrades. Your spellbook has a new tab titled Glyphs which holds all Major and Minor glyphs.
Existing Professions
All existing professions have been raised to 450 from the previous 375 cap. Skilling up a profession from 300-375 will now be easier.
Tradeskill Linking System
There are many new recipes and a new Tradeskill Linking System has been added. Players can now link a profession from their spellbook into a trade channel and other players can view all the recipes that payer has learned as well as the needed materials for each recipe.
The days of "Can you make _______ and What are the mats for that?" will soon be just a memory!
